2025 Panhellenic Executive Board

Sarah Carter, 2025 Panhellenic President
President’s Message:

Hi! I am Sarah Carter and I am the Panhellenic President for 2025! The Panhellenic community at UNCW is comprised of 11 unique chapters –– all of which have amazing opportunities for individual growth and friendship. We are dedicated to the success of each chapter and its members through education, service, and recruitment.

Panhellenic Council is part of the Greek community at UNCW which is composed of four councils –– National Pan-Hellenic Council, Interfraternity Council, and Multicultural Greek Council. Each chapter and council have a special place on campus with their own unique values, history, traditions, and identities. While we have our differences, we are united by academic excellence, community service, and inclusion.

I went through recruitment in the fall of my freshman year, and it is by far the best thing I ever did for myself. It forced me out of my comfort zone and gave me the greatest friendships.  My sophomore year, I took a leap of faith and applied to be on Panhellenic exec for 2024. I served as the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion where I educated our members through various programs about important topics. I loved working with every chapter and meeting so many incredible women that I would not have met otherwise. I knew I wanted to serve on Panhellenic exec again, but my freshman year self never imagined I would be Panhellenic President.

Being president is such an honor and privilege. I will do everything in my power to represent the values of friendship, leadership, service, knowledge, integrity, and community. I do my best to lead with empathy and an open mind while also looking for opportunities to grow my abilities. I am passionate about philanthropy and community service, and it is so rewarding to share this with the Panhellenic community.

Your experience at UNCW, during recruitment, and as a chapter member, is what you make it. There is no time in your life quite like these four years, so I encourage you to take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way. Anything that is worth doing should scare you just a little –– that is how you grow. There is no better time and place than now to do those things that scare you. Go through Panhellenic recruitment and find your sisters –– even if it scares you.

Thank you for believing in me.

Sarah Carter
