Delta Zeta

Delta Zeta was founded in 1902 by 6 female students who attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. With help of the University President, Delta Zeta became an official women’s organization. 122 years after their founding, Delta Zeta has accumulated a large national membership of over 285,000 initiated members across 163 collegiate chapters. The Delta Zeta mission is as follows, “to be a life-long, values based membership experience for women.” Delta Zeta guides this mission through their values of, “friendship, community, generosity, curiosity, empowerment, and belonging.” Delta Zeta supports their philanthropy of raising awareness of Deaf culture and American Sign Language by providing speech therapy and hearing aids to those in need of such services. Delta Zeta partners with the Starkey Hearing Foundation and American Society for Deaf Children to further achieve their philanthropic goals.

Throughout the semester, the Xi Theta Chapter of Delta Zeta has held a numerous amount of philanthropy events, including; a Valentine’s Day tabling, their Boot Scootin’ BBQ, Pie a DZ, and Hoops for Hearing!
