Delta Gamma

Delta Gamma was founded at the Lewis School for Girls, located in Oxford, Mississippi. Since their founding in 1873, Delta Gamma has become home for over 280,000 women throughout their 147 recognized collegiate chapters. Members of Delta Gamma follow their values of, “fostering high ideals of friendship among women, promoting educational and cultural interests, creating a true sense of social responsibility, and developing the best qualities of character,” steadfastly. Delta Gamma is known as the “Do Good” sisterhood, dedicating a substantial amount of effort to their philanthropy, Service for Sight, which supports those with low vision and blindness. Service for Sight supports the five schools found throughout the country which were founded by Delta Gamma to provide scholastic access for people who are either blind or visually impaired.
