PHI Mu

Phi Mu was founded in the year 1852 at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. Phi Mu, originally known as the Philomathean Society, is the second-oldest sorority in the nation. Since their establishment as an organization 173 years ago, Phi Mu has gained almost 200,000 collegiate members in chapters across the country. The Phi Mu mission statement reads, “Phi Mu is a women’s organization which provides personal and academic development, service to others, commitment to excellence and lifelong friendship through shared tradition. Phi Mu promotes vibrant living, encouraging members to achieve their personal best.” Phi Mu supports Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, an organization that serves Children’s hospitals located throughout the United States and Canada. Since they established their partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Phi Mu has raised over $20 million in support.

At the end of March, the Gamma Kappa Chapter of Phi Mu held their biggest philanthropy event of the year, a dance marathon called DUBTHON. In their efforts, Gamma Kappa managed to raise over $18,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals!
