Kappa Delta

Kappa Delta was founded by four women at State Female Normal School in Farmville, Virginia in 1897. In the last 128 years, Kappa Delta has established 167 collegiate chapters and a national membership total of 309,000 women. Kappa Delta has an inspiring purpose which reads, “to promote true friendship among the college girls of our country by inculcating into their hearts and lives those principles of truth, of honor, of duty, without which there can be no true friendship.” Kappa Delta is guided by the four values of, “friendship and loyalty, personal integrity, lifelong learning, and selfless service.” These values have been instilled in members since Kappa Delta was founded in order for members to become the best versions of themselves. Kappa Delta has two philanthropic partners, Prevent Child Abuse America and Girl Scouts of the USA, both of which gain numerous traction thanks to the effort of Kappa Delta women.

The Theta Xi Chapter of Kappa Delta held a philanthropy week and their second annual “Fore the Kids” Golf Tournament in support of Prevent Child Abuse America! Their hard work helped them raise over $24,000 for their philanthropy!
